How was your day, daddy?

Every night when daddy gets home from work he asks Eli about his day and one night this was thier conversation:

Daddy: Eli, how was your day?

Eli: Good, how was your day, daddy?

Daddy: Bad.

Eli: Oh, why? Because your friends wouldn't play with you today?

Mommy, I Cut My Hair

Elijah and I were scrapbooking together when I got a phone call. After I hung up he told me he cut his hair with his scissors. I didn't believe him because I couldn't see any obvious bald spots. He insisted he did while I was on the phone and then showed me the spot. It was towards the back in the middle. I punished him by putting him in time out and told him he should never do it again. When he came out of time out he said " I'm sorry I cut my hair mommy. I wanted to look like Grandpa and he doesn't have any hair in the middle." I couldn't stay mad after that.

I built those trees

About a year ago we were driving back from Scranton and Elijah says pointing at the mountains: "You see all those trees, mommy. I built those trees when I was big." Ever since then he tells me that everytime we pass that area of mountains.

He's Shy

Whenever someone talk's to the baby Elijah will tell them. " Sebastian doesn't talk yet because he's shy."

Elijah meeting his new brother

Daddy brought Eli to the hospital to see his new brother Sebastian. I asked him if he wanted to hold him and he said no. Then he said " Put him down mommy so we can see if he can walk yet."

Elijah at church

Recently we started taking the kids to church again. Sadly, it had been a while since Elijah had been there. I explained to him that he would learn about Jesus there. So he sat quietly and waited for church to begin. As soon as the priest starting to talk Elijah turned to me and very quietly asked "Mommy, is that Jesus?"
